As a community-based yoga studio located in Leonardo, NJ (recently located on 1st Avenue in Atlantic Highlands), our main goal is to lead others down the long path of discovery that yoga provides. Whether you want to move your body, reach spiritual growth, or be more present, we know you’ll benefit from the love held within our offerings.
Since opening our first location in 2016, Soul Yoga has been known for it’s awareness and attention to each and every student, no matter their needs or skill level. We are dedicated to creating a community of love based around selflessness, aiding all of us to better connect with ourselves and those around us. As you open your heart to love & light, you will receive everything and all that you need. We look forward to welcoming you to our yoga family.

Your Journey Is Our Priority
Everyone is on their own journey. Perhaps you are just starting your fitness or yoga journey, or perhaps you are well established on your path. No matter what your experience or expertise you will continue on your own path with the movements that work for your body, respecting where our bodies are at on any given day.

Individualized Instruction
Every body is built differently, meaning no two people will look the same in any given movement. With small class sizes each participant will receive instruction that will keep them safe, and help them to further their fitness or yoga journey from wherever they are towards wherever they would like to go.

Making It Fun
We know that exercise is good for us…but it’s not always fun to do. If we don’t enjoy it we won’t do it. At Journey To Be it’s all about the experience. We make fitness fun so that you enjoy your time with us. Why not get healthier, make some new friends and have fun at the same time…yes it’s possible!

Ava Michelle
Raised in Egypt and Sweden and now living in New York City, Ava Michelle has traveled the world as a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher. She studied dance in Sweden, London, Paris and the United States at prestigious schools such as Alvin Alley, Broadway Dance Center, Steps and The Edge and has spent the last 20 years studying and practicing yoga and martial arts—specifically Hapkido, Muay Thai, Kung Fu and Capoeira. This unique range of expertise led Nadia to create the Inner Series, a fusion of ballet technique, yoga and martial arts designed to build strength from the inside out through conscious, purposeful, beautiful movement that sculpts a longer, leaner-looking dancer-like body.
Ava Michelle has been a featured expert in national magazines such as Shape, Fitness, Whole Living and Martha Stewart Living and has choreographed for Nike, Reebok, Ralph Lauren,Crunch USA, Crunch Italy, and pop artists Fisher Spooner and Sylvia Tosun. She has also taught at workshops and conventions all over the world including ECA &IDEA, Nike Sweden, Nike Russia, Fitness Festivale Rimini, and led master classes in Italy, Sweden, Russia, Japan, England and the United States.


Thierry Henry
Thierry Henry feels that it is very important not to rush through each pose. Instead, build strength, flexibility, and find the breath and ease in each pose. Thierry Henry classes always include core work and a step by step sequence into each peak pose. Thierry Henry Pre/Postnatal classes focus on preparing for birth by including breath work, labor training exercises, as well as preparing for (or during) the postpartum period — finding ways to support the body during this transitional time.
Thierry Henry has been dancing and performing since He was 2 years old. Thierry Henry found yoga in college where she was a Dance Major and used yoga to rehabilitate after an injury. After moving to NYC in 2013, Thierry Henry received her 200-hr Yoga Certification from Three Brothers Yoga (2014). In 2016, he received his Certification in Pre/Postnatal Yoga from Maha Mama. And in 2020, He completed her 300-hr Yoga Teacher Certification from Yoga Vida and his certificate in Baby Yoga and Developmental Movement from Karma Kids Yoga. As a teacher, Thierry Henry feels that it is very important not to rush through each pose. Instead, build strength, flexibility, and find the breath and ease in each pose.
Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn’s love and appreciation for movement and dance are limitless. She has been dancing since a young child and has always wanted to find a way to share her love for it. The practice of Yoga presented itself in her college years, and she was immediately hooked. Once she heard of Buti Yoga in 2018, she was compelled to become certified and learn more about the practice. Buti Yoga combines her personality and passion, and her hope is to uplift others to be the best version of themselves while encouraging that deep and positive connection.
Buti Yoga is a practice of going within to discover your true power and full potential. It’s more than just a workout. It’s a combination of dynamic yoga fused with primal movement and deep abdominal engagement. It is cardio intensive, allowing you to tap in and sweat with intention while transforming your mind, body and soul.
